Colonial (R) Lee J. Bennett, Jr.

Over thirty years of managerial and leadership experience in complex and diverse organizations. In-depth inter agency experience having served in an appointed position within the Senior Executive Service and several years within the Executive Office of the President. Border operations security experience includes assignments at several Joint Operational Intelligence Centers within the state of Texas. Served as the National Guard Bureau’s liaison to the U.S. Border Patrol and served as agency liaison for the National Guard Bureau supporting the 2010 Winter Olympics Coordination Center. He was part of a project team that assisted the National Guard Bureau in the establishment of two National Joint Inter-agency Training Centers and the development of a master training plan that focused on the training and education strategy for homeland defense within the National Guard Bureau. Was also a part of a team that designed a common Center of Excellence organizational model for the centers and schools within the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. Promoted to Director Human Resources and Vice-President while a member of Abrams Learning and Information Systems, Inc.(ALIS). Served as Team Chief for the Republic of Georgia Armed Forces Officer Career Management and Unit Readiness Mobile Training Team (MTT). Responsibilities included developing processes and techniques to improve the Georgian Armed Forces capabilities to effectively track their own unit strengths and project requirements at least two to three years in advance. Prior to joining corporate organizations, held senior positions for four years in the Executive Office of the President,The White House, as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Principal Personnel Assistant to the Director of the National Drug Control Policy. Served in the U.S. Army for over 25 years as an Infantry Officer. Held command and staff positions in a variety of infantry units to include the 82nd Airborne Division, the 101st Air Assault/Airborne Division and United States Southern Command.

Major General (Retired) Abraham J. Turner is President and CEO of A T Consulting Group, LLC, a company specializing in Leadership Development, Strategic Planning, Workforce Training, Veterans Employment Readiness, and Community Outreach to include mentoring.

General Turner served as chief of staff of the U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska and the commanding general at Fort Jackson where he was responsible for training half of all soldiers entering the Army each year.  His experience also includes service as chief operations officer for the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command at Fort Monroe, Virginia; assistant division commander for operations for the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; chief and head of the Army Legislative Liaison Element for the U.S. House of Representatives; and adviser and special assistant to the U.S. Secretary of State in Washington, D.C.

 

With over 37 years of hands-on experience with organizing, directing and managing the development, training and maturation of leaders and managers for the U.S. Army and State government, he is uniquely suited to lead A T Consulting Group LLC.  He possesses a stellar record of achieving the highest levels of success while maintaining the commitment of employees to attain very high levels of productivity in the workplace. 

 

He is an expert leader, mentor, financial manager, motivational speaker, administrator and communicator.

 

His involvement with non-profit organizations exemplifies his commitment to community outreach.   His non-profit affiliations include:  Board of Director Chairman for University Research and Develop Foundation, Washington, DC, Board of Director Chairman for Save Your Colon, Columbia, SC,Board of Director Chairman for National Retired Military Golf Classic, Myrtle Beach, SC, and former Board of Director Member for Original Six Foundation, Columbia, SC.

General Turner is a South Carolina native and received a Bachelor of Science degree in music from South Carolina State University.  While attending the U.S. Army War College, he earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from Shippensburg University, Pennsylvania.

Colonel Lentfort Mitchell Sr, retired in Sep 2014 from the U.S. Army and the United States Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, N.C. with having over 28 years of distinguished service to our nation.

 

Lentfort is a native son of Wando, S.C. (Yellow House), grew up in Holy Rock Church where he started playing the drums in the 3rd grade. COL(R) Mitchell is a 1982 graduated of Cainhoy High School and a 1986 ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate from South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, S.C.

 

Upon graduating and receiving an commission as an Army Infantry Officer in 1986, COL(R) Mitchell’s initial assignments included the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea and the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C. The tenure (Lieutenant to Captain) between 1987-1991, also included an overseas tours with the Multinational Forces and Observers, Sinai, Egypt, and an 8-month combat tour during Operation Desert Storm and Shield in Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

 

In 1992, he was selected for the Special Forces training and education and became an Army Green Bret.  In summary, COL(R) Mitchell commanded at every level; lead, managed, and conducted a wide range of Combined (meaning two or more countries), Joint (two or more services), Interagency (US and foreign agencies), and multi national special operations activities that improved the regional security and cooperation between 40 different countries in three different regions of the world (Middle East, Pacific/Asia, and Latin America). Lentfort’s military career culminated with an 18-month combat tour in Iraq.

 

His education includes: a Masters of Science in National Security & Strategic Studies, U.S. Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, PA; a Masters of Science in Security Management, Webster University, ST. Louis, MO; and a BS of Science in Industrial Education, S.C. State University.  He is a lifetime member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the Pershing Rifle National Honor Society, and the Prince Hall Masonic Lodge, Oklahoma.  In 2012, COL(R) Mitchell was inducted into the S.C. State University ROTC Hall of Fame.

 

His military qualifications include the Combat Infantry’s Badge (two awards), Master Parachutist and Air Assault Badges, the Special Forces and Ranger qualifications, and Spanish Language.

 

COL (R) Mitchell has numerous Army, joint, and wartime decorations.  He is married to the former Cheryl J. Smith (college sweetheart) of Manning, S.C.  The Mitchell’s have three children: Lentfort Jr. (Army combat Veteran), daughter Logan (student at UNC Chapel Hill and Fayetteville State University), and son Jordan (currently attending East Carolina University).  The Mitchell’s currently reside in Fayetteville, N.C.
